Rules

How One More Week works

The Format

Each competition is a Last Man Standing pool. Every gameweek, pick one Premier League team you think will win. Win, and you go through to the next gameweek. Lose or draw, and you’re out.

Making Your Pick

  • You get one pick per competition, per gameweek – choose from either side of any fixture that week.
  • You can only use each team once per competition. Once you’ve picked a team in a competition, it’s unavailable for the rest of that competition – but you can still use it again in a different competition you’ve entered.
  • You can change your pick as many times as you like, right up until picks close.

Deadlines

Picks close 1 hour before the first kick-off of each gameweek. Once picks close, all selections lock in and can no longer be changed.

Joining a Competition

You can only join a competition before its very first deadline – once that’s passed, it’s closed to new entries, even if you’ve never played it before. If you missed it, don’t worry – you can join the next competition as long as you get in before its own first deadline. Players already in a competition keep going as normal, gameweek to gameweek.

Missed Picks

Forget to pick, and you’re not automatically out – but it’s a punishment, not a safety net. Once picks close, anyone who hasn’t chosen a team is automatically allocated the home team lowest in the league table that they haven’t already used in that competition, giving them the worst possible chance of surviving the round. Pick yourself every week – don’t rely on the auto-pick.

Staying Alive

If your picked team wins, you carry on to the next gameweek. If they lose or draw, you’re eliminated from that competition. The competition continues until one player – the last one standing – remains, and the app will tell everyone once that’s happened. If every remaining player loses in the very same gameweek, nobody’s eliminated by it – everyone who played that round is automatically carried through to the next gameweek instead.

Once you’re out, it’s not silent – Standings has an Elimination Feed showing who’s gone out, which team beat them, and when. That’s the one exception to how private this app otherwise keeps things while a competition’s still live: nobody still in it is ever named or shown as ahead, ranked, or ordered before it’s over – only who’s already out.

Provisional Results

A result can show up on Home and My Picks the moment the final whistle goes – before it’s been through the Premier League’s own official confirmation, which usually takes an hour or two longer. It shows as a normal result either way, with nothing for you to do. Eliminations and gameweek advancement still always wait for the confirmed result, never a provisional one, so nobody’s knocked out on a scoreline that hasn’t been made official yet.

If a Match Doesn’t Go Ahead as Scheduled

If your match gets postponed, what happens depends on the timing. Postponed before picks close: you’ll need to choose a different team yourself before the deadline – if you don’t, you’ll get the same automatic worst-ranked-team punishment as anyone who forgets to pick. Postponed after picks close: your pick was already locked in fairly, so you’re carried through to the next gameweek automatically – it counts as neither a win nor a loss, and there’s nothing you need to do.

If a match is abandoned mid-game, the scoreline at the moment it was stopped decides the result, same as normal. If it’s abandoned with no fair scoreline to use, anyone who picked a team in it is carried through to the next gameweek automatically, same as a post-deadline postponement. None of this holds up the rest of the gameweek for everyone else – only players with a pick riding on that specific match are affected.

Hall of Fame

Once a competition’s decided and an admin archives it, it’s added to the app’s Hall of Fame for good – who won, how many entered, how many gameweeks it ran, and every elimination along the way, all permanently on record even after that competition’s picks are wiped and it starts again. Find it on the Standings tab, above the competition cards – open to everyone, signed in or not.

My Career

Signed in, you’ll also see My Career right next to the Hall of Fame – your own all-time record across every competition you’ve ever played, live or already archived: how many you’ve entered and won, your overall win/loss record, and your five most-picked teams. It’s yours alone to see – nobody else can look up your career stats, the same way nobody can see what you’ve picked in a still-live round before its deadline.

Terms & Conditions

Please read before creating an account

Last updated: [date]

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of One More Week (“the App”). By creating an account, you agree to be bound by them. If you don’t agree, please don’t create an account or use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide (including your name, email address, and phone number) is accurate and that you’re entering competitions on your own behalf, not for anyone else.

2. Your Account

You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it. Each player should hold one account only – multiple accounts for the same person may be removed, along with any picks made on them.

3. How Competitions Work

Full gameplay rules – picks, deadlines, eliminations, and what happens when a match is postponed or abandoned – are set out in the section, which forms part of these Terms. Results are taken from official Premier League/Fantasy Premier League data; in the rare event of a scoring error or dispute, the competition admin’s decision on eliminations and standings is final.

4. Acceptable Use

Play fairly. Don’t attempt to manipulate results, exploit bugs to gain an advantage, interfere with other players’ ability to use the App, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these Terms.

5. Your Data

We collect the account details you provide (name, email, phone number) and your pick history in order to run the competitions you enter – showing standings, sending pick reminders, and confirming results. We don’t sell your data. See our for the full detail on what’s collected, how it’s used, and who it’s shared with.

6. No Warranty

The App is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep results accurate and the App available, but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free – for example, a delay in official results being confirmed, or a scheduling change, is outside our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App’s operator isn’t liable for any loss arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time – for example, as the App’s features change. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction].

10. Contact

Questions about these Terms? Contact your competition organiser, or [organiser/operator contact details].

This is a general starting template, not legal advice – have it reviewed for your own situation (particularly Section 9) before relying on it.

Privacy Policy

What we collect and how it’s used

Last updated: [date]

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information One More Week (“the App”) collects, why, and who it’s shared with. It sits alongside our , which govern your use of the App more generally.

1. What We Collect

When you create an account: your first and last name, email address, phone number, and password (password itself is never visible to us – it’s handled entirely by our authentication provider, Supabase, and stored in hashed form). As you use the App: which team you pick each gameweek, in which competition, and the outcome of that pick (still alive, eliminated, or the round was voided).

2. How We Use It

To run the competitions you enter – recording your picks, working out who’s still alive, showing standings and the elimination feed, and sending you pick-deadline reminder emails before a round you’re still in locks. Match results themselves come from the public Fantasy Premier League API – no personal information about you is ever sent to it.

3. Who We Share It With

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it for advertising. It passes through two service providers that help run the App, both acting only on our instructions: Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting for your account and pick data), and Resend (delivers the pick-deadline reminder emails – it sees your email address and the email’s content, nothing else). We may also disclose information if required to by law.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

The App doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. To keep you signed in between visits, your sign-in session (an access token and refresh token, managed by Supabase) is stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device – it isn’t sent anywhere except back to Supabase to keep your session valid. Log out from the Profile tab, or clear this site’s data in your browser, to remove it – useful if you’re on a shared or borrowed device.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and pick history for as long as your account exists, so past competitions remain visible in the Hall of Fame and your own pick history stays accurate. If you’d like your account and data deleted, contact your competition organiser (see Section 8).

6. Your Rights

You can ask to see what information we hold about you, have inaccurate details corrected, or have your account and data deleted. Contact your competition organiser to make any of these requests.

7. Children

The App isn’t intended for anyone under 18 – see the Eligibility section of our Terms & Conditions. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

8. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or a request under Section 6? Contact your competition organiser, or [organiser/operator contact details].

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time – for example, if we start using a new service provider. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

This is a general starting template, not legal advice – have it reviewed for your own situation (particularly Sections 3 and 6, which depend on where your players are based) before relying on it.
